When the TV series version of Birds of Prey was announced, one complaint fans had revolved around the changes made to the Black Canary character from the comic book series. The character of the Black Canary, created in comics' Golden Age, had only been seen in live action once before in a bad 1970's TV special, and many thought the character would lend itself well to television.

Fans will get their wish -- and they will learn the truth of the background behind the mysterious young Dinah -- in an all new Birds of Prey airing on Wednesday night, October 6, on the WB. Lori Loughlin of Full House fame, looking more beautiful than ever, will play the Canary and chances are good that familiar elements like the Canary's sonic scream will come into play.

We have been told that episodes like "Sins of the Mother" and the upcoming "Lady Shiva" will appeal to fans of the comic, so if you watched once and felt the show was not your cup of tea, now would be the perfect time to check it out again!

The month of November is quite important in deciding the future of Birds of Prey. The show has not yet even been picked up for a full season and if ratings continue to slide downward, the show might not last. So, be sure to tell your friends to watch Birds of Prey on Wednesday night, and be sure to post your thoughts about Birds' Canary on the Gotham Clock Tower message board!
